Where we are...
The wine-growing village Zeilitzheim (pop. 750) is in Franconia, the wine region of northwestern Bavaria, about 30 min. drive from the city of Würzburg,
famous for its architecture, and the formerly industrial city of Schweinfurt with its famous "Museum Georg Schäfer".
We are conveniently locaten near several main motorways (Autobahn):
A3 Nürnberg - Frankfurt
A7 Kassel - Würzburg
A70 Schweinfurt - Coburg
A71 Schweinfurt - Erfurt
(each exit about 15 miles from here)
Travelling by train and Bus:
We are located near the main rail stations of Würzburg and Schweinfurt. There is a bus connection to Zeilitzheim via Schweinfurt.

Travelling by car:
Coming from the south / souteast (Nuremberg / Munich):
Autobahn A3, direction Würzburg
Exit: Schweinfurt/Wiesentheid
Route B-286 toward Gerolzhofen (north)
Exit: Gerolzhofen "Nord" (north exit)
Turn left toward Gerolzhofen.
Follow the main road, crossing train rails, direction is Frankenwinheim.
Approx. 300 yards behind Gerolzhofen turn left (intersection with lone tree) in direction of Schweinfurt (toward Brünnstadt/Zeilitzheim)
In the next village (Brünnstadt) turn left toward Zeilitzheim.
The castle is in the center of the village, on your left (marketplace is on the right).
Coming from the wets (Frankfurt / Würzburg) via Autobahn:
Autobahn A3, direction Nürnberg.
Exit: Kitzingen/Schwarzach/Volkach.
Pass Volkach by following the main road, leaving the bridge over the Main river to your left, continue on toward Schweinfurt.
The next village after Volkach is Gaibach.
In Gaibach at the main intersection at the castle and church turn right toward Zeilitzheim.
The castle is in the center of the village, on your right (marketplace is on the left, yellow gasthaus / restaurant is right across the street).
